Things to do in Halls Gap & the Grampians

Halls Gap is the heart of the Grampians National Park. Halls Gap Gardens Caravan Park is the perfect place to stay when exploring the mountain ranges, natural flora and fauna, waterways and waterfalls and taking in the spectacular views.

Thrill seekers swarm to Halls Gap to enjoy the world-class abseiling, rock climbing, bush walking and mountain bikers, whilst nature enthusiasts are drawn to the wild flowers, wild life, bird watching and native animals and the spectacular views.

The Grampians has a unique history. Enjoy the Brambruk National Park and Cultural Centre or learn more about the area’s very special aboriginal history told through ancient rock art around the National Park. Brambuk National Park and Cultural Centre is a must see at the start of your Grampians adventure.

Waterfalls

Walks are quickly rewarded with spectacular waterfalls. Our favorites are Mackenzie Falls, Silverband Falls, Clematis Falls and Beehive Falls.

Wildlife

Many animals call Halls Gap home. On site at our caravan park you may see kangaroos, emus, lizards, a variety of feathered friends including kookaburras or cockatoos and in winter you may even see deer.

Outdoor adventures

The list of outdoor activities is endless when you are enjoying a stay at Halls Gap Gardens Caravan Park: mountain biking, rock climbing, four-wheel-driving, fishing, canoeing, bush walking and trail running.

Bush walking and hiking for all fitness and experience levels in the Grampians National Park range from 20mins to all day adventures. Some of the Grampians most spectacular walks include The Pinnacle, Wonderland and The Grand Canyon.

Amazing bike trails start at the parks front entrance, making access to the town center an easy ride away.

Nature at its finest

The views from the Grampians lookouts are sights to behold. We suggest you make time to experience The Balconies, Boroka and Reid Lookouts as well as Mount Victory, The Pinnacle and the Wonderland areas to get a true sense of the Grampians. Rugged mountains, vast plains, unique native plants, water ways and lakes. Spectacular!

Food and Wine

The Grampians has long been known for its quality food and wine. Halls Gap has a number of fabulous cafes, restaurants and take-away options, most within a short walk from our caravan park.

For those of you who enjoy a winery visit, the regions most famous is Great Western, it’s well worth a visit. And of course the Grampians Grape Escape Food and Wine Festival is a must for any foodie. The Festival is hosted just up the road from Halls Gap Gardens Caravan Park in May each year. The acclaimed Royal Mail Hotel in Dunkeld, featuring fine Grampians regional produce and famed sparkling wines is less than a 30 minute drive from Halls Gap.
